Vegan Peking Duck

Recipe: Vegan Peking Duck Pizza with homemade hoisin sauce

Serves 4


  • 200g Sayur Vegan Peking Duck
  • 1 x 183g square ready made pizza based
  • 3 asparagus stems
  • 1/2 red capsicum (seeds removed)
  • Homemade hoisin sauce:
  • 4 tbsp dark soy sauce
  • 1 tsp sesame oil
  • 1 tbsp crunchy peanut butter
  • 1/2 tbsp Asian black bean paste
  • 1 tbsp brown sugar
  • 1 tbsp apple cider vinegar
  • 1 tbsp red chilli paste


  1. Defrost vegan peking duck. Pan fry, cool and cut into thin strips.
  2. Trim the ends of asparagus. Cut diagonally.
  3. Cut capsicum into thin strips.
  4. For the sauce: blend all ingredients in a blender until emulsified for 10-15mins.
  5. Preheat oven to 200 degrees celcius. Place pizza base on a baking tray lined with baking paper. Spread vegan hoisin sauce. Top with vegetables and vegan Peking duck strips. Spray lightly with oil. Bake for 10-15mins. Serve warm with extra hoisin sauce or chilli sauce.
